I wish I detailed good
I decided I needed to join a detailing-only forum to get more tips to my car sparkle at shows.

I'm currently in a Turbo S Beetle, my second Turbo S and my third Beetle. I've also had some other random cars, like a bagged Ranger, and a Mustang GT. This Beetle is for sale for another Mustang GT.

So, game on!

Attached is a pic of the 3 hour detail on the side of the car, which further enhances my dent!

And here i thought Zaino Z5 and then Gold Class looked good... xxxx.

Unfortunately the shinier your car is the more dings stand out...your vdub looks great btw!

Gladly when I take delivery of the next Mustang GT, get a job, and restock my detail shelves with the good stuff. :bigups

Here's the new car, already washed it 3 times since I got it thursday. Front bumper will need repainting, since i'm anal like that.

Words can't describe how much I love this car.
 
What all should I use to keep the lip of the wheels clean?

Mothers metal polish isn't doing too well, what about scratch x?
 
Sharp looking Stang.
You can try Flitz polish on the lip and then seal it, you could even try ProPolish and seal it if you have that.

Thats one loooong driveway, good thing your down in GA, I would hate to have to shovel that here in the NE :lol

Does that flitz stuff really work? Would a polish I have and a small polish pad not work as good?
 
It should, but if you are not happy with the results that you are getting this is an alternative.
From the pics that you have posted the rims look fine. What is it that isn't coming off?

Why don't you post some close up pics of the issue you are trying to correct on the wheels?

Once the wheels are up to your standards I highly recommend using the Poorboy's Wheel Sealant to keep them looking good. It makes brake dust removal a breeze!

It seems to be some type of adhesive. Wheel polish will not get it out, and I was tempted to get the rubbing compound out for it.

Took another pic of it too, dirty and all.
 
Have you tried Goo Gone or rubbing alcohol? I find that they both work well on adhesives. It is hard to see in the picture, but with the weather we're having you aren't going to get much light.

Have tried both. We'll see what i can come up with next time i have... time.
