I have hesitated on posting this as we have just recently went thru this problem. Some of you may remember that we lost my mother-in-law less than 3 months ago to cancer. I truely believe in the power of prayer, that's the reason I have decided to go ahead and post this now.
My brother, and one of my best friends, Duane, has recently been diagnosed with cancer, also. It is in his hip, and collar bone, his lymph nodes and he has a tumor in his chest that was cutting off his breathing and blood flow to the brain and heart. The doctors have said that their treatment options are "very limited". He has been undergoing radiation treatments for the last week. It doesn't look good, but we haven't given up hope! What makes this so hard for me is that I know what may be in store, as does anyone who has also been thru this disease.
He was having trouble breathing for the last month or so, but anyone with alergies can relate to that at this time of year. He was also running a chain saw a while back, and thought he had pulled a muscle in his lower back. When the standard first aid didn't help, that is when he went to the doctor and got the news.
He bleeds Ford blue, and is a Stang lover thru and thru! We attended every local car show and swap meet together, and spent many hours working on restoring his 1967 Mustang fastback together. I'll try to get some pic's scanned and posted if I can.
Thanks in advance to all that offer their prayers and support to my family at this difficult time. We keep everyone at DC in our prayers, always.
