Okay, I know I'm annoying you guys. I'm annoying myself.

But I just can't seem to decide which color my new A4 should be. Accumulator recommended silver, which I didn't really care for at first.

I have visited the dealership everday for the past few days. I must admit, silver has REALLY grown on me. I don't know if I should change my order from Brilliant Black (Flat paint, non-metallic) to Light Silver Metallic.

Here are a few pictures. Please help me decide!

I've always loved the look of black cars. Much more so than silver. But if I owned a black car, it wouldn't have any clear coat on it by the end of the first year. Keeping that paint up would be a second full time job.

But.. having said that... to me, there is nothing more beautiful than a properly detailed black car.

I like both colors, but really prefer that dark silver/gray, (dolphin?), on these cars. You really can't go wrong either way, but if you're gonna keep it for a while, I'd strongly suggest getting the one that makes you go 'wow' when you look at it. You already know which one that is, don't you?

I've got a 10 year old Impala SS that has the worst GM black paint job I've ever seen, and it still makes me grin like an idiot when I come out to the garage. Even bigger grin when it's clean and as polished as it's gonna get, but even when it's filthy it looks great.

IMO, don't let the detail dictate the color of the car; your gut will tell you which one to take home, and you'll be on top of the detail no matter which color you select.

Just my .02, that's all. Enjoy the new car!

Save yourself the headache and go for the silver/white/blue....You don't want to be worrying about making your car look perfect or worrying about swirls all the time. Enjoy your life and your new car by not making it a never ending battle keeping it looking like new.

So I'm pretty sure I'm going to change it to Silver...

Like Josh said, I don't want to worry about every little nick and swirl on my first brand new car.

You guys make it so hard!!!!

Does anybody have any pics of a Pearl Black Audi??

Accumulator, where are you?? I need somebody to talk some sense into me!

IMO I like charcoal grey, if you need a dark color. It's not as hard as black to take care of,

but looks just as good. I like white on that car as well.Good luck on what ever you choose

and with the car.:2thumbs:

"Sense" and "buying a new car" just aren't things that go together. :)

And honestly... it's an A4!!! Does it really matter what color it is, it's a freaking awesome car.

I voted for brilliant black, it will match my new A4 S-line in brilliant black. I posted pictures of the detail from this weekend of it.

Haha thanks guys!!

SuperBee, you're right! I'll probably take a bath with the resale value, but I'm yet to find a used car that lives up to my cleanliness standards!

Terry, your detail looked great!

Did you allow the dealer to "prep" your new car? (I will definately decline those free swirls) And do you have any interior pics??

can you stretch for an S4?

funny thing is that i don't see many silver a4's around....i do think they look good in white as well.....black is beautiful.....

i chose daytona grey.

best success!

Ohh I wish I could! That will probably be my next one, or maybe even an RS4! (I can dream)

I actually don't see many silver A4's either, just a lot of black and gray.

I should call my dealer tomorrow if I'm going to make a change. Its getting pretty close to my production date of June 18.
