Just One More Coat
I ran a Craigslist ad and yesterday I had a inquiry about detailing a 02..325 BMW
I called and we talked about the car and pricing, then he wanted to come by and have me look at the car.
When he arrived the car was in pretty beat up condition in and out. I gave him my price with a range knowing that there might be something that I was over looking
He didn't seem that taken back by it, and I asked if that seemed like a good deal, Yes he said it was for his wife's birthday.
The one thing that stood out for me was he kept pointing out some small scratches and door dings that would require some touch up paint. Most of these where not that bad.
I told once I had the whole car back up to speed, those small areas would not be that noticeable to him. I wasn't sure if he was understanding that.
He told me that he was going talk to his wife and that he might go see some of the other detailers to get another price, which meant he was thinking I was high.
That's when I explained to him about my paint processes, that seemed to be the part he was concerned with most. I told him that no matter what he decides to do, ask these questions
What paint process are going to be preformed ?
How many years experience will that detailer have?
I haven't heard back from him but I'm not worried he will call!
