So embarrising.... soo i decided to go mobile for the first time, went to customers house (thank Allah it was a friend of mine) and since i have my mobile detailing vehichle ALL the cleaners were frozen! Customer wanted to wash their car but the water outside was also frozen. On top of that my expensive extractor was also in my car and some of the lines had water in it and the water froze. So before i used it i let it sit inside the customers house so that it could warm up, let it sit like 20+min then i tried turning on the pump and nothing!! Waited like another 20 min and still nothing! On top of that when i turned on the vacuum to clean there car the electricity went out! I have to find out if the extractor is still working hopefully it is. Hope you mobile detailers with experience can help me with this.

There's 2 things you could do. One is to keep all of your equipment inside so it doesn't freeze, especially the night before a job. The other is to do like I do and not do mobile jobs when its freezing.
Another word of advise, if your going to run an extractor off of the clients electric, make sure it can handle 30 amps. Extractors tend to pull an enormous amount of power and it sometimes causes breakers to pop. Not a good thing to happen at a clients home.

Common sense should tell you to bring anything liquid indoors if the temp is going to fall below 32 degrees

:jesus

Wow i realize i shouldve kept my liquids inside, at the same time making sure that the customers house can handle 30amps is kind of a headache... It is very tuff doing mobile.

Ya i guess i didnt realize at first, but even if i kept it inside it would free pretty quick on the job.. Tuff situation

It doesn't take rocket science to know water freezes @ 32 degrees

You can't ask customers to let you bring your machines into their homes to thaw out

It's only tuff if you let it be

Ya your right, i should ask the customer if i could place it indoors for a few min, and that's only some of the problem, i saw my chemicals freeze literately right in front of my eyes as i was spraying it... lol crazy, and the electricity, extractors seem to use up alot of electricity like mrclean said.

Sounds like conditions are next to impossible to offer mobile service

I looked at your website. Your prices are crazy high compared to where I am from. Anyone calling you?

Ya get calls but pretty slow.... I dont think its to high.... paint correction is a lengthy process, and ya the interior i might lower the price on that but other than that is about right.

Sorry to hear about your troubles... Hopefully things work out.

Trouble ... your posts are sarcastic and way out of line. You know I love having you here, but this isn't the forum to be insulting on so please adjust your tone.

If I were you I would only offer 1 or 2 packages. Forget trying to break everything down. I think that only ads confusion

Try also draining all your hoses after you are done using them. This will put a stop to your freezing up issue (unless you are working in below 32 degree conditions with no Sun)

Sorry if I offended you yesterday. I was kinda being an :ass

Hey todd I appreciate your help but i dont take things the wrong way thanks though!

hope your equipment turned out to be okay. i brought all my stuff inside when i found out it was gonna be 35 degrees outside. call it over careful but i cant afford to repurchase anything-this addiction is bad enough as it is :)
