Help!!

So I`m working on a customers 2012 black Mustang GT and the BOSS G15 stops! If I hold it in the air, it runs, as soon as I put it under load, it stops spinning. This includes no pressure. The only way I can get it to work (sometimes) is tilt it at varying different angles, and then it only works a few seconds. Also, the trigger lock stopped working as well.

I was able to compound the entire car and was in the middle of polishing before putting Viking Coat. I need to get his car done.

I have GG 6, Flex 3401 and a GG 3. Because most of my pads are 5 inch and the Flex has a 5.5 backing plate, do you think the BOSS pads would work on the Flex or will that tear them up? I also have Carpro Gloss Pads, will they work on the Flex? I`m really trying to avoid finishing the car with a 3 inch, but I will if I have to. The 6 inch pads that I have for the GG 6 are waxing pads, but I could always go to Advance and pick up some polishing if need be.

Thanks for any input

I would think the boss pads should work on the gg6

Unless you think I can take the G15 off and put it on the gg6

I have a g15 plate on my gg6 now and it does help keep pads cooler I’m not 100% sure you will be able to put back on g15 after tho
Won’t hurt to look tho

Not seeing the brushes, unless you`re talking about the spring things. I`ve never taking one apart so not sure what I would be looking for. But here`s everything that came in the box.

Yes, those springs have the carbon black brushes attached. That is what you need.

Yeah, it was super simple, thanks. I tried to get on ealier and let you know but for whatever reason I couldn`t login on the computer or Tapatalk. I was a little skeptical because the brushes I took out look just like the ones I put in, but it seems to be working.
Again thank you

Awesome. Just needed a pit stop ☺ try contacting Griot`s and telling them what happened. I`ve heard they`ll send you free replacement brushes.

Griot does have excellent customer service, and I`m sure they`ll do it. I plan on contacting them in the morning.

Were you able to finish the car then

I`m quite a bit slower than everyone else. I just put the wheels back on and I`m about to lower it. I was able to finish polishing. I think I`m going to call it for the day, and wash to get all the oils off and coat tomorrow.
