Help With Wheels

I just purchased a used Audi S4. Upon closer inspection it looks like maybe someone used too aggressive of a cleaner on them. Is there anything to try to see if it will come off? I tried Sonax wheel cleaner on them as well as a degreaser in a few spots but nothing worked.
 
jw- Have you tried polishing them?



They might be trashed, but I'd try a good fairly aggressive compounding/polishing and see if that helps.
 
I love posts like this "I've got a stain on my paint / wheels/upholstery; how do I remove it?



The more information (inc a photo) you can provide the the most specific the solution, otherwise it just a wild *** guess like use an APC
