Help with trim residue removal

shopking68

too many cars....
Hey.

I got a new 02 Chevy Silverado 1500 HD Black truck about a month ago. I do not like trim molding on these trucks, so I peeled them off. Driver side went off easy and very little glue left behind. Passenger side was harder and left a line of residue behind. What would be the best method to remove this stuff?

3M had a adhesive remover, Goo Gone is another...Once you have it off I would use a paint cleaner to clean the area up

WD-40 is a product many have on hand that will remove adhesives. I like it every bit as well as GooGone and other dedicated adhesive removers that I have used. WD40 is also easily removed with a good automotive shampoo and wash. Just don't use your good mitts, sponges, etc while removing it.
