Help With Single Stage

I've recently had problems with hazing on single stage paint. It seems that single stage doesn't work too well with Poorboys polishes. Is there any truth in that, or has the paint I've been working on been crap? I've been banging me head against the wall trying to figure out why this happens! :wall

Please, I need some quick replies here.

SS is usually softer than CC and your pad might gum up. Try switching to a less agressive polish and see if there is a difference.

Yeah, some ss is very soft. Gotta work with milder products than normal and just work 'em longer. Swapping pads instead of just cleaning them can be a good idea too. I've had ss that was so soft I had to work it with Griot's Machine Polish #3, which isn't any stronger than stuff like Menzerna FP (maybe even milder). #80 *is* a nice product for ss, if it isn't (initially) too abrasive.

Maybe I'll try my Meguiars #83 of the swirl free polish (I can't remember the number).

Thanks guys! :)

#82 would be a better choice than #83 for a true polish, #80 will add lube to the process.

#82 is what I used. You should see the oxidation I removed with it though. :D Look for my post in a couple hours on a MX-3.
