Help with racecar detail

I'm wondering how many of you pro's have detailed a racecar before. In this case, it is an older pro stock car, from the mid 90's. I plan to attack the paint with my usual approach, but I'm unsure of how to handle the plastic windows. I had planned to polish them by machine, but I'm starting to get concerned that I'll warp the thin plastic. I have a UDM, Makita rotary, and Menz SIP and Micro polishes. I want to get them 100% if possible.

I used to take care of a Comp Eliminator car (C/A class, the owner held the national record for about 18 months with a 7.54 @ 175.84, he won in Phoenix and Branerd that year). I was doing everthing by hand back then, usually used Meguiars Swirl Free Polish (#82) on the lexan windows.
