Help with Paint

I sprayed VHT niteshades about 6 months ago on my car. I think it looks horrible. I tried using mineral spirits to remove it with NO LUCK!!! Id like to know what is going on LOL. How come I cant remove this simple tinted paint? Anyone have any suggestions. Some guy who works on returning old headlights etc to new told me hed charge me 200 bucks to remove the stuff... I dont understand why or how it could be a difficult task. Please help

Is it on your headlights? tailights? both. Also are they plastic? If so it should only be a matter of wetsanding the lights and then polishing. There may be a chemical that would work though and if so that may be easier. Maybe someone will have more knowledge. good luck

Only on my tails, reverse, and 3rd brake light. Will I be able to maintain the luster and clearness and brightness of the stock "red" tails??? Im worried that if I sand the plastic will be effected and not look good at all??? If anyone is located in Tallahassee, Florida, I will pay them to remove this stuff from my car if you guarantee that my lights will look like new when finished. More input would be much appreciated. Is it possible that they tint is perma-baked onto the plastic of the lights.
