help with my foam cannon

It's the cam spray foam cannon for pressure washer.



I would like to know the dilution ratio to use, this did not come with any instructions. I am using Meguires gold class car wash.



And those knobs, how do you know what is best?
 
Fill the container up with straight soap. Then use the red dial to adjust the soap/water ratio til you get the foam you're looking for. It's safe to do it this way as long as you are using an LSP friendly soap. Start out with min soap ratio (red dial set all the way to the "skinniest"). Pull the trigger on your pressure washer gun, then start twisting the knob til you get the desired foam.



You can twist the black end of the cannon to get a wider/narrower stream of foam. I keep it at the widest possible setting all the time.

Undiluted is very thick like syrup, for gold class wash, so that's still OK? I thought most people were diluting like 1:5 or so. I did something like 1:6 and still got very good foam, I had to use the max draw setting though, still the stock bottle lasted to cover 1 car,

it still looked like cream, but I admit it wasn't thick enough to stay on for too long.

I was under the impression that the proper ratio was between 1:10 and 1:5 as well, but SuperBee364 is one of the authorities on foam cannons. My Cam Spray foamer attachment arrives tomorrow, and I'm looking forward to trying it out!
 
I've been playing around with mine. I switched to a 32 oz bottle and did about a 10:1 dilution of CG's Citrus Wash n' Gloss. The foam was nice (better than any pics or videos I've seen of the Gilmour foam gun), but not as thick nor clingy as in SuperBee's video, but then again I'm using an 1850 psi Karcher electric pw, not a high psi gas powered one.



I might try the small bottle undiluted and let the water pressure mix and dilute it instead like SuperBee suggested. It's definitely fun using this as a pre-soak for a car you're going to be polishing, but even with a mild, non wax-stripping soap I'm afraid that a strong, unproper dilution ratio might possibly affect the durability of the LSP.
