Help with indecision please! (glass polishing)

Ive been planning on getting this Auto Glym glass polishing kit for a while. http://store.yahoo.com/classic-motoring/glaspolkit.html

But I am about to order a bunch of Poorboys Products and supposedly they work for polishing glass as well. If I got those, I wouldnt have to spend the extra money on the Auto Glym package.

Do you guys think I should just use Poorboys products on glass? If so, should I use a regular 6.5" PC pad for polishing the glass? Or would a 4" pad be better? Such as these? http://store.yahoo.com/classic-motoring/4inspotreppa.html I would probably want to keep my paint and "glass" pads seperate, but I'm not sure.


If any one can help me with this indecision, it would be appreciated!

The Auto Glym Kit uses a different pad altogether. The pad is similiar to a thin hard felt pad. I bought this kit and it works great. I myself have always been hesitant to apply products designed for paint on glass, mostly due to polishing oils being left behind on the glass that may cause smearing. Those smears that you notice at night when the oncoming headlights hit the windsheild. Just my 2c, but use products for what they were intended for.
 
I used the PoorboysB PP on my car and my glass using the same Meguiar's Softbuff Foam Pad (W8006) and it came out great. I have had no problems with oncoming headlights or rain on the windshield.
 
I mainly use Pro Polish with a 6.5" polishing pad on the windshield for the cleanest/clearest results. I use VM on the side and back windows and polish all the smooth black trim at the same time. SSR1 and PwC can also be used for polishing glass.
