I'm sure that there is someone here who has attempted to fix a similar problem to mine. I've used the search function but have found nothing that relates to my damage. As mentioned in an earlier post, I hit a dog a couple of years ago. Where the corner of the urethane bumper flexed, it created a "spider web" type effect. There is no physical damage to the bumper and the paint is not chipped or peeling. In fact, you can't really notice unless you look at the bumper from certain angles in certain light.
Where should I start in terms of repair? Because of "flexing agents" in the clearcoat and paint on urethane parts should I use different products than those I would use on painted metal panels? Which products?
A body shop will want to paint the whole bumper over again and I have little confidence in their ability to match the paint (not any great paint/body shops in Louisville, KY that I know of).
By the way, the color is a metallic Alpine Silver on a 94 Toyota Supra Twin-Turbo.
Would appreciate any advice
