Help w/ Lights

I hope this is the right category for this, if not, please accept my apologies in advance.

Anyway, I am trying to find out what detailing lights are the best for correction and where can they be purchased.

Any help on this would be appreciated. Thanks. :D

I would just get some really strong Halogen lamps mounted on a stand...you can find them at home depot or lowes

Your best bet would be to go to Home Depot or Lowe's and get a 1000 watt halogen work light. They usually have two lights on a bar which mounts to an adjustable stand. I picked mine up about a year ago for $25. Best investment for the buck and makes your buffing jobs much easier. It really shows up swirls and scratches which you never knew were there. The light also comes in handy for working at night outside if you have to. Hope this helps!

I agree with previous posters but please not that the halogens will reveal everything. A lot of which the sun will not...

I had a neighbor that wanted to see his perfectly washed benz under my halogens. I told him if he was happy with his car to never look at it under the halogens. Suffice it to say he looked anyway...

1 new customer for me....

Hmmm. I never thought that is a great way to get new customers! :rockon

Yes sir the only problem is, is when they want to see a perfect finish under the halogens.

Then I tell them I how much extra each polishing step will take and then I also advise them that most of what they see they will not see in sunlight for the most part.

Some go for the extra step. Personally for me I don't like a perfect finish for a daily driver (as far as halogens are concerned). I prefer to go the product route for my results after a nice polish...

Also remember if you tell the customer that, and then after you finish detailing it they take it and put it under halogen lights to tell you how much you missed.
