Hello Everyone. I am going crazy trying to find that last bit for my foam gun/pressure washer quick connect set up. The part I need is the quick connect for my pressure washer.

This is how it looks.

My gilmour quick connects dont lock onto this plastic piece so I am looking for a brass one. I couldnt find one in town, and I am struggling to find one online. Any help would be marvolous.

Thanks!!

Greg

Greg, my understanding is that you cannot mix plastic quick disconnects with metal ones. The attached pic (ignore the pressure gauge) shows the type of plastic female qd that will work with your male connector.

Hey Greg, is that part an actual piece from your pressure washer that you lost and looking to replace? If so, contact the pressure washer company and get a new one.

Don't know if you can mix brass and plastic. You may have to replace the set.

If not, and if its just a regular male connector you're looking to replace with a plastic one, try WalMart or Sears. They have them.

If you want a brass male connector, Lowes has them made by Gilmour. Or Sears has Craftsman

My local Home Depot doesn't have them

So, if it is a regular male connector:

Plastic - Sears or WalMart
Brass - Lowes or Sears

ace doesnt carry any brass parts in my area. The problem with the plastic is the brass connect doesnt fit the plastic one I posted above..

I wanted to upgrade the plactic peice above to brass. I have all plastic quick connects now but they are cheap, and tend to leak, so I am upgrading to brass, and all I need is a brass peice similiar to the plastic one above, but the longer part needs to be beefier or fatter to work with the gilmour quick connects..

Greg, send me a PM. I have a few sets of the plastic quick disconnects

-they will not work with the brass.

If you want to get brass ones, go to home depot or Lowe's.

(this is mgm2003).

I think thats what I will have to end up doing, I can use one of those and then use one of these:

That exact piece can be found at WalMart but it has a blue ring around it.

If you have a Lowes or Sears, check there too. They have nice beefy brass connectors.

Or, here is a nice set from ACE Hardware (click)

I can buy all those gilmour peices locally, minues the peice I really want haha. But with the 2 peice I am going to do, I can buy them locally,

Greg

Don't you have a Lowe's near you? I'll send you the piece (I have several extras). I swapped out the plastic with brass on my POS power washer, and they work fine.

is it brass? and does it have the thicker end? If so I would be interested in buying it from you. I dont have any lowes near me.

I have that same plastic male connector attached to my 1500psi electric power washer from Home Depot. It has that plastic female connector piece.

For the life of me, I can't unscrew that male connector from my pressure washer to replace it. It's like stuck on there.

Anyone take theirs off?

The pressure washer is keyword 100341780 at Home Depot.

Greg, I just realized all the recommendations you were getting have the threads on the OUTSIDE when you need the threads on the INSIDE to hook up to the nipple on your electric pressure washer.

I have the same plastic part.

I have yet to locate that part in brass. However, it is sold here, but the shipping charge blows. Total, it will run $10.00

I believe this is what you are looking for.

I also believe it may come as part of a set from ACE which would be a better buy because you get more brass parts. Check the top piece on the right. It looks like what we need: http://www.acehardware.com/product/...cp=1260360&parentPage=family&searchId=1260360

Hope this helps clarify.
