Help me choose a wax

I believe that`s CDO.

(Like OCD but the letters are in the correct order LIKE THEY SHOULD BE !!!)

It`s happening (going nutso). QUICK, somebody get him some Poorboy`s Strawberry Scent ....STAT!

<----- Drool

You owe me a keyboard.....

It`s a big block !!!!

I had a mouse.....which carried a big stick. hehe.. Funny enough, Ron, I used to play with the Vettes. Stangs and Camaros couldn`t keep pace!

But you can do stuff to that, easier than this............

INDEED! Screw fuel efficiency. That`s what the 2nd car is for.

Great car Mooser!
As for wax (and sticking with what you have on hand), I vote Griot`s BoS (hopefully the new version) or Natty`s original.

My old c7

c7 does 67? that`s interesting, Ron. Thanks for sharing.

Just messing. But damn, that`s impressive MPG for a car with that kind of power. Is it double overdrive, or are cars getting a 3rd overdrive these days?

THat was double overdrive, new one is quadruple.

I myself seldom like LSPs that "darken", at least not on light/bright colors.

Eh, everyone here probably expects this- I`d just FK1000P it.

Mooser- Unless you want the "darkening" effect, I wouldn`t use the M26. I wouldn`t use the Griot`s BOS period as I never found anything to like about it (and goodness knows I tried, must`ve gone through four bottles of the stuff before giving up on it).

EDIT: Hey Mooser, I simply *love* how tidy the engine compartment is! I`d probably spend more time doing that (and the undercarriage) than the paint :D (Yeah, Ron yours is nice too...but hey it`s almost new ;) ).

FK1000p is good stuff.

WOW Accumulator! Four bottles shows you really did try. I doubt I would have gone through one bottle, and two would have been pushing it.

My dad liked patronizing Grio`ts so I went along with the "free wax" opportunities until I just couldn`t take it any more. And, uhm... when he helped out we were using more product than necessary ;)

Normally I wouldn`t want to use FK1000P on a vintage car, but on that yellow I think I`d really like it. And of course not having to either rewax every few months or worry about birds/bugs are always big pluses for me.

Well that makes sense! And we know thin is good ;)

That there are good reasons for FK1000p. My wife`s car gets the FK. I don`t want to messing around too much with that thing.

If you guys used too much BOS I KNOW it sucked to remove. I tried it out and it was one of the worst removal experiences I have ever had. The finished product was nothing to write home about either imo.
Beautiful car Mooser, my vote would be with the Nattys

Of what you have: Nattys original or Meguiars #26. If you want to try new ones, I`d suggest you look at Meguiars #16, Collinite 915 and Autoglym HD wax.

Thanks
Overall concept is vaguely similar to what the factory did but I`ve spent more than a few hours in there changing/updating/polishing/painting/powder coating/machining etc...
Miles on what you see there.... about 50

You know I think I had some 16 on a shelf somewhere from longer ago than I`d care to imaging. Probably the consistency of a hockey puck at this point. Used to use it on everything (after stepping up from turtlewax) As I recall it was awesome and a real PIA to remove if you let it haze too long. Haven`t seen it for sale for years, is it still available?
Honestly, never been a fan of Autoglym finishing products but do like some of the interior dressings.
