First post here, but I've been a lurker for quite a while and I think I have a decent knowledge of detailing. I'm 16, drive an RX8, and I live in Jupiter, Florida. I use Meguiars Gold Class and NXT for washing, claying, polishing, and waxing. I do some cars around the neighborhood and I've wanted to take it up to the next level. I planned to order a PC 7424 Sonus kit from the Autopia site, a few crack and crevice brushes, and the Sonus interior detailer. I was also going to order the Optimum Polish/Compound package from Danase.
My process for doing cars would be Wash with Meguiars Gold/NXT, Clay, polish with the Optimum Polish/compounds with the PC, and then wax with the Meguiars NXT liquid wax. I realize some people seal and then wax, but I'm trying to keep my costs down.
Would there be any real advantage to skipping the NXT wax and buying Klasse and then using P21S over? If there wasn't any major advantage in look with the Klasse and P21S, I might prefer to use NXT because I feel some people in my neighborhood might not want to pay what I want for all that work or take me seriously because I am only 16.
Any help/insight would be appreciated. Thanks!
