Help, I'm addicted to Zaino Z-8

I've been using this stuff like a madman and the water is just sheeting off my car. It probably has saved me 5-10 minutes in time from washing the car due to lubricity and how it works with Z-7.

What I find really cool is how the surface gets so incredibly slick after a few hours. I've learned it works well to do a pass with a dry plush towel after each application and it seems to have a better look if you do a Z-6 pass before each run.

But what really fuels my addiction is the smell. Papaya? Some kind of mango? I love it.

Am I crazy or do others here share my addiction?

Lee, I have it to! I call it Zaino wipedown Friday. I look forward to it every week on the wife's car. There is Z6, Z8 or other Z products in my detailing fix practically every day with the black truck!!

I love the stuff, but yes, it sure is darned expensive. :(

At first glance Z8 appears expensive but a more profound view reveals how inexpensive this product really is.

Extends the life of Z sealants to almost infinity.

Time saved verses complete application of a LSP to get that "just waxed" look. I my book, time is money! Is there a price on having your vehicle looked "just waxed" after a wash or a Cali dusting and Z8 session.

1/2 oz of Z8 should be sufficent for most vehicles including full size SUVs.

Oh yes, the olfactory stimulation, another vote for apricot, is also priceless. :getdown

Very true. I have the sprayer set on a superfine mist and put it on as thinly as possible.

I guess it must be an apricot smell. It's very seductive and tropical in any event. :)

I too like the papaya scent of Z-8 and it works even better. The FK 425 is a good alternative as well. Both products come highly recommended. :xyxthumbs

Z8 though formulated to work with Zaino sealants, others have used this product with other LSP's.

For equal results (additional protection, just waxed appearance and excellent gloss after a wash) that Z8 accomplishes with Zaino sealants, I would suggest Crystal Mist as the best super QD for Souveran.

From recent reviews FK 425 seems also to be a great alternative.

I apply a quick layer of Z8 every weekend after I wash my car. I love how it smells. Sometimes I find myself practically huffing it.

I'm thinking it smells like a creamsicle....ya know a cross between vanilla and orange. mmm.

I am absolutely hooked on Z8 too. I used a CR Spotless system, so after the vehicle dries, I apply Z8. My vehicles have never looked better, and it's also a great booster to the Z line polish.

$20 for a bottle does seem like alot, but I am only on my second bottle since it's release, and I regularly do my Excursion and Cobra after a wash...and also occaisionally on the Viper and Scamp. You only need a little bit to do a car.

I use an MF. Spray on a panel...smear around with MF...then turn the MF over for the final wipe. Back to the wet side for the next panel and so on.

Z8 freaking rules and that is all!

I love that stuff!!!

I've managed to make a bottle last 6 months mostly due to the high cost!

I just did my first Zaino Detail today. 2006 Tungsten Grey Mustang. I detailed this last Setpember with AIO+SGx3. The water was still beading a little today, the shine was still very good. This car lives outside 24/7. When I did Klasse, the metal flake was kind of muted, but the paint was very reflective, not so deep.

Today was NXT wash, Clay, Dawn wash per zaino instuctions(I don't like dawn), FPII, ISO wipedown, Zfx'd Z2 prox3 with Z-6 wipe down between each layer, then Z-8.

The paint did not really come alive with wetness untill the Z-8, then it was all over. I can only imagine on a black or red car. I think I got some nice DSLR photos, but they are being sent to me.

FMJ is more slick, I kind of like the FMJ look better than Z-2 before Z-8, I bet FMJ with Z-8 is killer!!!! :bounce I know zaino will last longer from all the reviews I read.

BTW this car was swirl free from the start, but the FPII make a huge difference in the appearance.

I'll post some pics when I get them. :bigups
