Hi folks,

I tried searching for this and can't find a thread. If I missed it, please direct me there.

I use PCL with my P/C 7424. On my Honda Element which has a lot of plastic body panels, i end up with white stains from the polish. On my Tundra, I get them on the black mud flaps.

i got smart with my Z06 and used painters tape to cover the brake vents before running the P/C.

Can someone please enlighten me on how you get those ugly polish stains off plastic and rubber?

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Try some peanut butter and a toothbrush. Or I've read using a pink pearl eraser works.

I would also want to recommend poorboy's PP, but I am not sure how it would work on grained trim since I have only used it on smooth trimming.

A white pen eraser will work for getting the polish out. I had another product actually bleach the color out of my wife's CRV's trim. Hopefully that isnt what happened to you.

thanks for the input, but I just found something that works perfectly. Sounds similar to the white eraser idea.

My wife suggested I use Mr. Clean Magic Erasers. She bought them to get scuffs and marks off walls, and it works great for that.

I just tried this on my Element, and on my truck's mudflaps. Absolutely incredible! It turns the polish into a fine white powder that just blows right off the surface. There are not really abrasive to the touch either, so I don't know how they work.

It's a miracle.....

Try a product called Wax Baster. This product is specifically designed to remove wax from plastic trim. It comes in an applicator bottle similar to shoe polish die. Not as messy as peanut butter.

Agreed. I got a sample from them and it works well for all sorts of detailing tasks.
