Help downloading music to my phone?

I got my first music phone (VX8500 aka Chocolate) need help with downloading songs. Verizon seems to nickle and dime you for everything, but they offer



Music Essentials Kit includes $30:



Music Manager and USB Driver Software

USB Cable

Stereo Headset with Call/Answer/End



or just a card reader for the Micro SD card $25.



What's the best way to download songs? I use itunes but the phone doesn't support those files.
 
Thanks for the link Eliot. I spent two hours on the forum learning about my new phone LV 8500 aka Chocolate. I'm still trying to figure out Bitpim and some of the acronyms but it's really cool. I just found out that they may be providing firmware to activate the speakerphone on the Chocolate. Now I'm really excited!!! Thanks again for the link.
