Help decide on sealant

I will be working on a 02 Cadillac De-ville in Crimson Pearl(deep red).I have never detailed a red car yet.

I have the following sealants/waxes.

Klasse Twins

1Z Glanz wax

Autoglym Twins

Wolfgang

NXT

Pinnacle Sovereign

P21S

#16

I will be polishing with a rotary and PC using either 1Z Polishes, SFX,Autoglym, or Menzerna polishes.

I would like the best look on this red color.

I don't mind spending more time adding a topper, I just want this red to flow with dripping reflections and depth.

Research the use and application of the Klasse twins. Once you have several layers of SG on the vehicle (maximim protection) then you can choose to top with several other products - quality carnuba, Souveran, P21S, ... the list is endless; OR continue with full synthetics, such as even more SG, or UPP or FMJ.

Depending on environmental conditions, waxes can be considered sacrificial in that they tend to melt at temperatures easily reached by paint parked in direct sun (130 deg. F), whereas the synthetics are considerable more resistent to melting, somewhere about 340 deg. F.

Your choice depends on the "look" you are going for.

Wolfgang, as many layers as you can add, topped with Souveran. If you have loads of time and the owner is willing to spend the $$$, get him to keep the car in your posession for a while so you can top that Souveran via spit shine :D

If not, just WG, topped with Souveran :up

Try Klasse AIO and then Souveran. If you want more durability, you can do AIO, then a layer of two of SG and then top with Souveran. You can substitute P21S for Souveran if you want a different look, but you can't go wrong with either. :)

I really cant add a topper over the SG(Because it will be detailed at customer's house and I can go back the next day after the SG cures)

Just curious. I was born in Quincy ( about 30 miles from the Frost Dealership ) I was just curious. I see you've got some great product choices to go with. You can't go wrong with any one of them. IMO, it's the Klasse Twins topped with Souveran or P21S or the WG topped with Souveran.

SG is strictly optional if you want additional protection. AIO is just that, all in one. It will clean AND protect. I would just do AIO and then top off with either Souveran or P21S.

If you want the metalic flakes to "pop", use the Klasse twins/P21S combo. If you want a deep, rich, wetlook use the WG/Souveran combo.

Guys, he said sealant ;) but I would agree, that color would look killer with the depth of Souveran.

For sealant, EX or if you have not tried the new mothers reflections, that color begs for it. Reflections advanced wax is fully synthetic with mild cleaners, so keep it in mind. You can top it with reflections top coat, no cleaners which is a blend synthetic carnauba.

Depending on how often it would be detailed, I would also propose Collinite IW (845). Yes, not a sealant but it would look great on that paint.

Anyway, whatever the choice, happy detailing and come back with pics :D
