Help Dammm Dealer

Well I just got my truck back from the dealer and they washed it.

I did not mine that because they hand wash and I need to do a complete detail on it this weekend seeing my BF came. The problem is they put some shinny crap on the tires and after trying to wash it of with Hi-Intensity I still have this brown ring arond the tire. I did the tires twice and have used half a bottle already. These tires ( Dunlope) are only a couple of months old and I use 303 on my tires and have never had this before.

What can I do to get rid of this.

I've found multiple cleanings with EFHI to remove browning from tires, but I've had to clean tires as many as 5-6 times each to do this.

You might want to use less cleaner. 4 tires should need much, much less than 16 oz cleaner.

I dunno if this is good or bad for the tires but when I had browning tires I washed them once with dawn and they came out perfectly black.

Well i guess I washed them more than twice, I was so mad I think it was at least 4 or 5 good scrubbing. One thing I notices was that there was a milky white film coming off so I am guessing it was a silicon type dressing.

I'm sure the stuff they used had tons of silicone oil in it. Use a strong cleaner that will break down the oil and remove it. Jade's blue Dawn suggestion sounds good and will probably work. Give it a try.

Keep in mind that rubber is porous and a good amount of the oil has been absorbed. Getting it all out will take some time. As you drive, the tire "blooms"; releases a protective wax thru the rubber to reduce ozone and UV ray damage. So just driving your truck will help.

Be patient, keep the tires clean, go easy on the protectant, and it'll be OK.
