I have learned to stop taking those reports seriously, because many of them have been misleading in the past. One or two of those type of comparison reports have been useful because they gave a nice overview of the definition of many finishing products and processes. The wax tests and their results, although some have tried to be objective in their ratings, have ended up rendering weighed results using subjective opinions based on limited testing conditions and materials. It is because of the limited scope of some of these published tests that has made me look beyond them, and instead relying on in person (and at times well done examples posted here on Autopia) results and comparisons between products under differing lighting views, the length of time that competing lsps will stay on a surface, and recorded images with good digital photos.
IMO some of those published tests have, oddly enough, provided good comedy relief and amusing entertainment value lol!
