Every forum has their posts like this, its just a fact of being a public forum... I know i havent been here long, but i dont like these kinds of threads/posts either, ignore them, if youre just going to hi-jack it keep it to yourself...

no, i'm not having a bad day

around 2004 alot of newbs came into autopia and started posting with alot of opinions and not much experience to back it up. ive used the otc stuff and the online stuff. they can both look decent and last ok. but side by side with proper prep the poorboys.klasse, zaino, etc always comes thru with a deeper shine and usually last longer

of couse whith this guy washing every 3 weeks it probably does not matter, it is probably all swirled anyway

i recommended the EX b/c it is basically idiot proof, otherwise zaino or klasse would have probably been a longer lasting choice

Have you tried Mothers FX Synwax?

original poster-FX Synwax should definately fit your needs. Application and removal is extremely easy. I would top it with a carnauba to add more depth and protection.

Thanks. I think I will try the synwax as several have recommended it. I will probably also give a coat of some wax as well, seems as if there is no clear winner there, I might just use meguiars or mothers.

I should mention to LouisanaJeeper that even though I don't wash my car every other day, I don't get lots of swirl marks. That's probably because when I don't have time to wash, I will quickly brush the visible dust off the car the with a broom. That way when I get around to washing I get less swirls and only one or two keep scratches. :hide:

Please explain your idea of a lot of swirls.... If you brush your car off with a broom, I'm getting a very scarey image of what your clearcoat looks like :soscared:

i thought i was the only one that used a dustpan and brush instead of a qd :)

:faint:

I do use a CCD though. Does that count as a broom :lol

to the original poster, I have had good experiences with UPP. One car that I see regularly (my neighbor) is still beading like crazy and it's been almost 4 months since application. He doesnt even really do much in the ways of matinence either. He washes once every 2 weeks or so. The combo was AIO/UPPx3

I wished I would have finished reading the rest of the posts before I went and swept my truck off!!!! :hairpull
