Hello ONR....Goodbye Water Hose

The thing is.. you wouldn't notice the swirls after one wash even if you just wiped the car down with a towel and no water.

I've used no rinse products before doing mobile detailers and i must say they do put in extra swirls no matter how good you are. Once you start doing washing the same car a dozen times after a complete swirl removal you can see how bad it is after a few washes.

Using a normal hose first up to dislodge most of the dirt definitely helps. You really need a long term analysis to determine swirl build up.

My car has a custom spray job that wasn't baked so its stupidly soft, so i can demonstrate in a single wash what most cars would take a year to demonstrate.

Any form of washing will lead to swirls and marring. Optimum no rinse is by no means the safest form of washing your car. But there are hundreds of ways that you could do a worse job.

In water restrictions its the lesser of the evils.

Nothing beats.

High-ish pressure hose soak.

Foaming car wash and washmit, even with foam gun.

High-ish pressure rinse.

Then sheet 90% of the water off with a low pressure hose.

But as you're still rubbing the surface all that extra effort wont produce noticable improvements over ONR until a dozen washes. Pretty minor really.

I have used over 3 gallons of ONR in the last year+ exclusively on 3 cars. I can say without a doubt it doesn't induce more swirling than a traditional wash. Would a careful lengthy foamgun multiple mitt, airdry, high pressure wash induce less swirling? possibly....also at the expense of 2 hours.

If you have the right method..... it works.

Yeah I cannot do without my ONR during the winter. Who knows when it will be warm enough here again to bucket wash...late April/early May at the earliest maybe.

Maybe I'll try some .

Not trying to be stupid but can someone tell me actually how to use this stuff , so I can get a better idea of how it works.

Yeah it has. She got out of class one day and somebody had left a nice big dent in it....and then left. A friend of her dad's fixed it for free. At a normal distance you can't really tell but up close it has too much metallic in it.

I have a 2liters Megs gold class car wash and was wondering if i can still use it with ONR? cuz it seems like a waste since there's still a lot of it left. Do i mix it with ONR? or do i use ONR to do the intial wipe down, then use another bucket with the "gold class car wash" to wash it, then use ONR to "rinse" away the soap?

With everyone loving this stuff, I'm sure the price will rise this spring/summer! Mark my words.

Cheers,

I doubt it, there are currently two other good competitors out there (Detailers Pride 4 in 1 and Quick and Easy Wash) to keep the price in check and I know of atleast one other car care company whose R&D department is looking into coming up with their own version. I am sure they are not the only ones looking to enter the market with water and environmental restrictions growing. All the more competition to keep prices in line.
