Hello from the Gulf Coast of Texas

Shiny cars are happy cars
Hey all,,,, I just got here and am trying to soak up as much information as possible. This is a great source of knowledge, which I plan to rely on to do things right.

I just recently retired at 53 and am going to start detailing cars to keep me in shape and from getting bored. After a long list of sports cars and motorcycles,,, I'm now into SUVs, which is a real challenge at times.

My whole life I've been asked "how do you keep your car so clean?"

My answer,,, which you all will understand; "I wash it everytime it's dirty."

Welcome from another Texan(sort of...). Glad to have you on the forum!!

Make sure to get aquainted with the members here on DC. A pretty good group if I do say so myself. As my friend Mosca says, "The only way to have the just waxed look is to have just waxed your car." Which is right in line with what you said about how do you keep your car so clean.

As a retired operating engineer I was wondering what it was that you retired from?

Ha! I've read enough posts here to think I won't get flamed,,, so I'll tell.

I was a police officer for 29 years. Seventeen on motorcycle division and seven in the Commercial Vehicle Inspection Unit. Mostly accident investigation. I got hurt and they made me quit,,, so I got "fixed" after 7 shoulder surgeries and want to do something fun,,,, like making ugly cars pretty again!

:howdy Welcome to the "City", Delzo!! :dcrules

Ouch, seven shoulder surgeries
Thank you for your service to protect us (from ourselves ;) )

Hello from another Gulf Coaster. This site has definitely increased my knowledge and the folks here are great. One problem to be careful with, it may also increase your passion (it did for me). My wife and kids think I'm crazy and the neighbors and friends are envious. I love it.
