Anyone from around the Fayette/Peachtree City area? I am looking to cut down on my wash/wax time and thought I would learn some tricks and tips here. I looked at cheap buffers and decided not to get one. Hand waxing takes me around 4 hours from start to finish. Where should I look to get some good advice for cutting time on hand waxing? My 2 year old car is looking pretty rough and its is starting to cool down here in Ga. I have basic turtle wax and just use the car wash down the street but, I really want to get my gloss back on the Honda. The paint is not all that great from the factory. The frontend has bugs and tar allover it along with chips from normal driving. The color of my car is Habanero Red Pearl.

Also i would like to know how to use a polisher/buffer what would be good for a noob to look into. I see that cheap buffers are just cheap buffers and not much better than hand waxing.

Hello South Atlanta...It would be best to find someone who can professionally polish your car. It needs to be machine buffed at 1800 to 2000 rpms by someone who knows what they are doing. You cant learn to buff on the internet. You can search You tube search, how to buff a car for pointers. See my site @ advancedautopolishing.com I would help you out if you were closer. Pay the 100 bucks for a pro job ...your car probably needs compound then glazing then sealing ....I use a 3 part system where that vehicle would be buffed 3 times to bring it up like GLASS if the paint is still good. NOT all paint will buff up if it is too far gone. Good luck! Ben
 
Do you know I wont drive a dirty car? I clean and cover each one of my 6 cars after using them....they are all BUFFED to perfection! Saphire Blue, Crimson Red, Performance White, Red Cabernet and Black. I Love my cars popping when I am @ a red light. Search my site @ Advancedautopolishing.com. all my rides are there. I dont drive them in the rain! EVER! I stay home that day!
 
I have two cars the older one of the 2 will practice on (1990 volvo 740 black). After I can get it looking o.k. I will then tackle the the newer (2007 civic si habanero red pearl). Working on the older car I hope to learn the do's-and-dont's. I agree that reading does not help much however, I have a car that I don't mind practicing on it can't hurt it.
