I'm opening my mobile detailing company this spring! I have a 5.5 HP wet dry vac 1900psi electric power washer small generator (no water tank yet) canopy lots of brushes and rags not sure on what buffer to get or products. Trying to start with a minimum and work my way up

First, welcome to Autopia Forums. Are you planning on doing full corrections?

I have both the Porter Cable (as my avatar proudly displays) and Griots 6". Both are excellent but the GG6 definitely has more power.

Pads depend on your answer. I like MF pads for heavy correction and foam for polishing, finishing and wax application. Lake country ht pads give you most coverage for the fewest pads.

If you go pc, need 5" bp and 5.5" pads.

Pro Shine welcome to the forum. When you say your not sure on what buffer to get are you meaning rotary or D/A? As far as D/A's go there are three major players Griots,Porter Cable and Meguiars. The answers you will get are all over the place it comes down to personnal preference in the end. They all have their good points along with bad. The answer to products will be the same but sticking with what is recommended from someone who does it for a living would probably be best they will probably have different suggestions from someone who does it on the weekends on personnal cars.

Welcome to the Forum. A wealth of info and helpful people here. You should be out voting today! Where abouts are you from. I 'm from NH many years ago.

One of my favorite areas. I spent some time up there in the summers.
I envy you. Is Shep Browns Marina still in operation in Meredith?
