Hey everyone. Decided I'd introduce myself. I'm here to hopefully gain some knowledge and expertise from fellow detailers on the board. I want to start my own business as a mobile detailer, but would like to perfect my skills before I go around saying I can detail professionally. I know more than the average joe, but not nearly enough to go pro. Anyways, found this thingy thought it would be fun to fill out.
1. How did you wind up at Autopia?
A: Google (how else does anybody find anything?)
2. What do you like most about detailing?
A: Compounding a neglected paint job to a new car shine.
3. What are your favorite products/processes
A: Meguiar's All the way
and why?
A: There is nothing better
4. What's your dream car
A: The new Lexus LFA
and why?
A: Because It's disgusting
5. What's the best thing you learned on Autopia?
A: Advanced paint scratch removal
6. What are some of your other hobbies and interests?
A: Music and Fitness and Video games
7. Do you have any pets? If so, types, names, pics.
A: I have a cat named Baxter and a Doxen (Wiener Dog) named Reggie Noble
8. Name three secret techniques that you think you should share to fellow Autopians.
A: I was hoping to learn some, I have none to give. :-(
9. Where are you from and where do you live now?
A: I'm from Orange County California and I now live in Albuquerque, New Mexico
10. What was you first car and what got you interested in keeping cars perfect?
A: First car: 1991 Toyota 4Runner 4cyl 4WD A: The look on someone's face when you turn their hopeless paint job into something to brag about.
11. What motivates you to detail?
A: (again) The look on someone's face when you turn their hopeless paint job into something to brag about.
12. Would you ever pay someone else to detail your car?
A: Is this a serious question?
13. Does detailing run in the family at all, or are you the only normal one?
A: I'm the only normal one, but my father doesn't let anybody touch his car except him. I also learned most of what I know about detailing from him.
14. What is your favorite part about detailing?
A: (again) The look on someone's face when you turn their hopeless paint job into something to brag about.
15. If detailing is a hobby for you, would you like to do it full time, or do you feel that it would take the fun out of it?
A: I would like to do it professionally and run my own business. It WILL eventually take the fun out of it, but then I'll just hire other detailers nuf said.
Anyways guys I hope to learn a lot from the people that roam this board. Have a great day.
