I've been lurking here for a while and finally decided to come out and say hi and thanks to everyone for the great advice and information. I've been using all my newfound knowledge from this board with great results on my Mazda6. My friends say its so shiny it glows in the dark :up I hope to have some pics posted soon.

:welcome and good to have you here, heckler. Also, I see you've already purchased the e-book. Big thumbs-up to ya!

Yeah, as you get ready to dive into more serious detailing, just let us know how we can help. (And that's what the Autopia Univ forum is for -- to ask simple/basic questions, and get the benefit of Autopian's thousands of years of combined experience.)

Welcome to Autopia....:welcome

The Ebook is great. I think you will find it to have a wealth of information....

Thanks for the welcome everybody:wavey The ebook was just the first of many purchases made because of this board. I've since purchased a PC, dozens of MF towels and enough polish, sealants and wax to last at least a few years.

I've posted a few pics in the gallery but here's a mandatory hood refelection shot to wet your appetite :D. Feel free to comment.

Thanks. I had some minor swirling from the local car wash (I know, I know. That was before I found Autopia :doh), so I used Meg's #9, #7 then BF topped with S100. I wasn't sure if the BF would work with the #7, but I figured I'd give it a try. The BF ended up a bit streaky, but otherwise I was happy with the results. I have some EX and QD+ that I'm going to try next time.
