Just wanted to say hello to the other certifiable car freaks on here. :lol I'm the proud owner of a Midnight Mica Blue Protege5, which as everyone knows is the next best thing to black in terms of keeping clean and hiding paint imperfections. Especially when it comes to the climate in Canada.

I'm hoping to learn a lot from everyone as I'm a complete noob at the detailing thing and have basically flown by the seat of my pants. Any tips/hints/recommendations/advice on how to properly maintain teh beast, techniques, products, etc, will be happily received.

BTW, if anyone is in the Edmonton, Alberta area and wouldn't mind an eager student, I'd love to learn from the pros!

Get these products for proper washing:

New bucket that will only be used for washing the car

Sheepskin mitt for paint

Different mitt or wheel brush for wheels

Waffle weave towels for drying

Small WW towel or MF towel to dry wheels.

MF towels to dry door jambs

Scrub brush for tires

Cheap cotton towel to dry tires

Good tire protectant

And pick up some MF towels for buffing off wax/polish from your paint.

:welcome to Autopia, and enjoy your stay! :wavey

AIO/UPP/Good nuba wax like souveran/natty's blue/etc look great on that color. So much so I used a similar combo on my Nautical Blue Metallic tC. Combo can be seen in my sig. :welcome: to autopia!
