Hell no, a Honda Civic putting a Lambo in it's place!

I think of it as an ignorant slang for someone who doesn't have a clue about imports. Hell I will even go out of my way and joke about it. Everytime I eat a a chinese place I always save the rice boxes and stick them by where my exhaust hangs out at

This is an interesting comment from you.
Go back and look at perma-link #8 and see who used the term Ricer first in this thread. :D

Call me a purist but for around 30k you can buy a early Porsche 930 turbo great looks, runs good, handles great. Just don't get hesitant in the turns and know when it spools up.
Do nothing to it but keep it looking and running good and it will gain in value.

True. I'd personally like to spend some more and get a 993 911 turbo. They were the ones that I grew up seeing as a teenager when the love of cars first started and so I'm partial to that vintage (993 is mid 90's).

The only part of your post that is correct is that it does make a difference as to who builds the engine but the important ingredient is $$$$$$$$ don't ever think you can become a record holder with a small budget.

What I was getting at was that you don't have to go out and spend all that money on a 50 thousand dollar car. Instead you can drop a few thousand on your engine and be done. Unless a few thousand to you is a huge amount of money:)

The Civic in the video that you posted has forced induction..
This will come as a shock to you but with forced induction you must add a tunable computer like a DFI that will cost $2500.00.
Then you need race injectors that is another $ 1000.00 and then a big fuel pump and bigger fuel lines another $ 500.00.

I few thousand will make pony power I'm talking Horsepower.
That Civic had waaaay more than a few thousand spent on it.
I posted a link to a place that builds race engine but it is obvious you did not read it.

Your idea of power is much different than mine we don't even swim in the same ocean.

You talk about a few thousand I just had 2 barrels of race fuel dropped off at my house for my Corvette and that cost over $ 2500.00 and that is just 100 gallons.

You don't have a clue what it takes to make real power.

Oh yes I do, I'm just not going to drop 75 thousand on an engine that I probably would need a bigger car for and pay 2500 for gas or whatever kind of ethanol it is that you're using, if that's what you're talking about then good for you. If I owned a corvette, a viper, a lambo, then I'm sure I would be on the same page, but I guess I'm not.

Me, I'm sticking to my B16 Vtec, my turbos, and ECUs. May not be as fast as yours, but it puts a smile on my face. Bart, good talking.
