Heavy swirl removal on pillars, quarter panels.

For those of you guys who use, say, a wool cutting pad for heavy swirl removal, what do you do when it comes to the A and C pillars? Do you use a 4" foam pad?

I use the edge of a foam cut pad or wool polishing pad, and just run it at a slower RPM. On

paints where I am worried about clearcoat thickness, I switch over to my Cyclo.

Edit: I don't use the side edge, I just angle the pad so only a small portion of the front is contacting the paint surface.
