Heavy heavy oxidation

Ah ok. Well I have to order any of these products from Dave, so which would you recommend that I get that can be done by hand? AIO or GEPC? Or both, and in that case, then which order would I use them?

I would get them both. You will always find uses for each of them. GEPC is awesome at cleaning up waterspots that sat there just a bit too long and also for really mild swirls or hazing. Since you have the hazing, I think this would be a great product to have. I can't say enough good about AIO. It is the best paint cleaner I've ever used. They are both great products to have. I would give the nod to GEPC for this particular case if you absolutely have to choose one. For working by hand it might be a little bit easier to use than AIO on your situation. Get them both if your budget allows though. Both products are nearly without fault as far as I'm concerned.

Its tough to use a machine on a oxidized piece of paint because I would not have a clue how far the oxidation has gone. I imagine its possible for paint to oxidize through the entire paint layers and the machine would remove it to the point that nothing is left. Maybe I am wrong but, starting by hand would probably be a good test to see how extensive the damage is before you work it with a machine. If the paint clears up by hand stick to it and finish it. How ever long it takes.

yeah COLORX is probly the strongest thing u can get for hand use......work it in with terry cloth....

STRONGBAD FOR PRESIDENT !!

In order to get an amazing finish you have to use a PC with the 3M product OR you can even use the Farcela stuff...I used them both but I liked 3M. With 3M I used the 3 stage compound...just use the 2nd and the first compound and then wax..it'll be like new...I HOPE this made sense cuz i dont remember what it was called exactly...but lemme do some research and i'll find out the names for ya...

I hopes he's fixed it by now. :bolt

lol i hope so too! I was just browsing through the site...and I wanna be able to put in my input anywhere...so if anyone else is having the same problem, they can see what everyone wrote or even what I wrote and have it help them. =)

Na I never had the chance to fix it. My dumb dad dropped the cover when we were lifting it off to haul brush and broke it. Boy was my mom pissed that he ruined it lol. We just use a cloth cover now.
