When I am forced to work in the heat I carry salt with me and add it to what ever Im drinking. I use himalayan salt because it has retained all its natural minerals unlike regular salt that has been bleached and robbed of its mineral(thats what I read anyway!). Its a pink salt that I buy at my local healthfood stores. I also use it for cooking and just normal use .
I found this natural electrolite drink you can make yourself......Havent tried it myself but it looks great and proably healthier and cheaper than what you buy in stores.
"NATURAL SPORTS DRINK
1 quart good quality water
1/3 cup maple syrup or fresh sugar cane juice
1/4 teaspoon "The Original" Himalayan Crystal Salt
juice of one lemon, or more to taste
1. Mix all the ingredients together.
2. Refrigerate until you are ready to drink it."

Actually from what I read drinking tons of just water alone in the heat and when sweating you can upset your sodium balance even further and cause even death in extreem cases. So its very important to replace your minerals !
This salt is a little expensive compared to regular salt you buy but I think its worth it and lasts quite a while .
Thanks for the tip. I myself fell victim to pushing too hard. I don't like tap water so I was drinking iced tea. Ended up a little dehydrated in a 90+ degree shop.(dizzy and ears ringing plus tripping over myself)
I'll remember this. Thanks again!
