Headlight scratches

My headlights have a bunch of pretty noticable scratches in them. It's probably because I painted the housings and I got the clear plastic lense dirty, so I scrubbed it a little too hard. Is there a way to minimize the appearance of the scratches. Rubbing a scratch remover in it perhaps?

there are a number of plastic polishes around although i've never used one. check out the thread on shaving plastic trim. i was about to place an order for plexus today but their website wasn't working correctly.

You might also want to try polishing them with fine sandpaper then moving to a buffer. (LOW SPEED)

I've tried various plastic polishes in the past. In fact, i've tested some on my CD's. The only one I seemed to have any success with was 3m's plastic polish/cleaner. Plexus shined it up more but did not do away with any scratches.

Novus makes a plastic polish line with one for serious scratches, one for mild scratches, and then a cleaner/protectant. I think some people have also used paint swirl remover on them too... it might be mild enough.

Thanks for the advice. I will probably try some 3m plastic polish and the novus. I will keep you guys updated.
