Headlight Restore & Seal

I had my headlights restored earlier today. I went straight to PepBoys to find a sealer, and on the shelf they had "BlueMagic Headlight Sealer." I took a photo of it with my phone but since I'm a new member, I can't post images yet. I came home and searched Google and BlueMagic seems to be the only headlight sealer that is a name brand. Has anyone tried this? How well does it work? Are there any other brands that you've tried, and if so, how well did they work? Thanks!

Have not tried it, but I do not expect the "sealant" part to hold up long term since, according to their video, all the product puts down is some silicone.

Hey thanks! I didn't even notice that there was a video. I'll have to find it on their website. Since most headlight restorations begin with sanding off the surface to remove the yellow, we can conclude that only the surface plastic is what turns yellow and not all the plastic. This indicates to me that it's not just the UV light, but rather the yellowing requires chemicals from the air to aid in the yellowing process. By sealing the lens from the atmosphere, this should eliminate the future yellowing problem. Since this product (the BlueMagic sealer) is like a liquid and not a wax, I was initially skeptical. I was thinking that maybe I should just use regular auto wax instead. But, if this is a silicone seal, then I would prefer this over wax. I'm going to go look for the video now. Thanks! :)
