I have been up selling Head light restoration services to my customers that are receiving exterior paint reconditioning services. My clients have been very happy with the final product! Most think that they have to purchase new headlights and are very surprised by the outcome.

First set - 1987 Mustang GT headlights and side markers:

Regime:
Washed with Super Slick and Suds
SSR 2.5 with white VC pad, via pc at speed 6 x 2
SSR 1 with red VC pad, via pc at speed 5
Pro Polish by hand

Did not wetsand! I let the products do all the work.

Second set - 1989 Honda Civic headlights and side markers:

Regime:
Washed with Super Slick and Suds
Meguiars 1500 grit sandpaper
Meguiars 2000 grit sandpaper
Lubricated with water and a drop of Super Slick and Suds
Pro Polish 2 with red VC pad, via pc at speed 4.5

Headlight to the left is before the treatment. Headlight to the right and side markers already treated.

More to come.

Process:

Cleaned with pro polish via pc, speed setting 6
1500 grit sand paper
2000 grit sand paper
Lubricated with water and a drop of spray and wipe
SSR1 via pc, speed setting 6

I usually seal them with Polish with sealant. I tell my customers to apply a quality wax to them about every 3 months or so or I am just a phone call away. :).

Great turn arounds guys. I'm too afraid to use sand paper on anything still. lol P.S. I'm not a handyman.

iomcamaro.... It is not that bad. Just remember to always use the most least aggressive grit paper to get the job done and take your time. Same with polishing.
