I did a search and nothing came up so sorry if this has been brought up before. My headlights on the sunfire have this haze on them. Its on the outside because i tried some cleaner wax once and the were ok for a few days. The dis color is a little bit of yellow and really hurt the look of a freshley washed car. Please help me out. Thank you for any tips

I have used several different products on my plastic headlights. For general cleaning and light haze removal, I use Megs #9 SMR. Works very well, and is slightly abrasive to remove light yellowing films.

If my lenses also have light to medium scratches, I use Novus #2 Plastic Polish. It is arguably the best plastic polish I've used, and works extremely well on my headlights (as well as my gauge cluster, other exterior lenses, etc...). It removes medium scratches and yellowing with ease. Leaves the lenses crystal clear. For Plexus lovers, I have not tried it, so I don't know how well it works. However, I have read many great reviews on Plexus.

With the Megs #9 and the Novus #2, you can apply by hand, or a bonnet on an electric drill. I would be very leery of using a machine with higher RPMs on plastic because of the possibility of melting the plastic. Others may have more experience/guidance on that than me.

Hope this helps.
