Headlamp Lens Fogged Up

Hi, I found out my right hand side headlamp lens fogged up internally. How could this happen? Besides dismantling the headlamp, how do I clean up the lens? Thanks!

you probably have a tiny crack/pinhole somewhere on the headlamp. Maybe the seal or something. Do a thorough check and see if you can find it.

Sorry that I forgot to mention that, that kind of fog is not due to water, just a layer of haze...any clue?

1 Wipe glass with a damp waffle weave towel

2. Apply a quarter size amount of Autoglym Car Glass Polish to a dry 100% cotton Microfiber cloth

3. Apply to 1/2 of the windshield, polishing first in an up and down motion then in a left-to-right motion

4. Go over the glass several times in each direction. (Glass will polish virtually residue free.)

5. Wipe off any residue, and polish with a clean dry 100% cotton Microfiber cloth.

6. Inspect glass for clarity and smoothness. Repeat if necessary.

~Hope this helps~

Definitely check your seals. When I purchased my car one of my tailights had water in it:eek: , when I pulled it apart I found half a pine tree stuck in the seal:scared. After cleaning it the problem dissapeared. It's also possible the seal is dry and may need to be replaced.
