Head Light Restoration

I've been reading and watching this forum for quite awhile. Although not as fanatical as alot of you guys, I think I qualify as a car nut.

Anyway, I just ordered the Blackfire sealant for my pampered BRIGHT red Volvo 850 Turbo. Been using Zymol (the Carnuba paste). Looks great on the red, but the heat here in the South melts it off way to fast.

I'll let you know how the Blackfire does. Should be hot down here before too long.

Welcome! There's nothing we like more than a review with pictures. Hopefully you can show us some before and after pics.

Thanks!

I too am in the South in Hotlanta, which ain't too hot right now, but will be. I'm using Blackfire topped by Pinnacle Souveran on my SAAB 9-5 and am extremely happy with the results.

Like you I am concerned about the heat melting my wax. Before it gets hot I'll probably go Blackfire only to avoid a Pinnacle meltdown.

Welcome to the club. I look forward to pics of your Volvo.

Hey SouthernBoy well yeeha and welcome to the forum! Don't worry the fanatical part will grow on you as you hang around here. ;) Even if you can't spend a ton of time on detailing your car it is great to learn about the products that do the best job and make the most of your detailing time.

Look forward to your future participation. :)

<em class='bbc'>on second thought you probably don't say yeeha much in South Carolina do you ? [/i] Nice part of the county that you live in. My wife and I started our honeymoon in South Carolina just over 10 years ago.

LikeCars had it right, "Ya'll" is the greatest word in the Southern-English language. So many uses.

Actually, we do say "YeeHa" on occaision, but my Southern-Gentleman upbrings prevents me from discussing it further. ;)

Seriously, thanks for the warm welcome. The Blackfire should be here today, so weather permitting, I'll slap some on this weekend and post some pics.

I just made my first post, too.

I'm not a professional detailer by any means, but is it OK with you guys/gals if I hang around?

I share your passion for car care! One of my favorite hobbies now.

Home Run Hero, you are more than welcomed to this board. The only requirements are that you be of sound mind (not really) and have a good friendly attitude. No spamming, profanity, insulting,etc.. is tolerated here. You will find that this is perhaps the friendliest and most helpful board of any that are out there.

Welcome Home Run Hero & SouthernBoy

Don2000*--I would have to agree with you on that one... the amount of knowledge shared and friendliness of the members in unmatched compared to other forums out there... although, clublexus.com where I also post has some nice, helpful members who are excited about enjoying every bit of their cars.

Home Run Hero, welcome! It's great to have another Carolina folk! There are a couple others, I think, but they are farther north, I believe. Our weather isn't too bad; in fact, it's rather cool outside. I don't say yeehaw to often, but y'all is definitly a used word in my lexicon!

Later, y'all!

Here is a great way to restore cloudy or Yellow headlight....Clay, Wet Sand and hit it with Menzerna SIP about 3-4 times....then seal with either a wax or a Sealant.....body shops charge up to $90.00 I only charge 35.00 to 40.00
