HD UNO problems

Just buy the darn thing. It is worth it.

I agree, just look at the posts by tdekany. He has used it on many cars and has documented it with pictures. I am just finishing up my Mach 1 with it and it was an enjoyable experience.

I say keep up the good work Tony! Whatever you're doing seems to be working OK. Anything you change will most likely be a win-win.

Thanks in your confidence with us.

Its very good stuff. I am still learning how to use it with the kit I bought off of DavidB. The first time I used it I just went slowly but surely and had great results. I used it last night on a couple of spots that I saw when cleaning my car up for a show this weekend. It worked really well. But I did have the issue of a fog look until I buffed it out by hand with some NXT 2.0 and boy did it shine. I need to get a couple of extra pads to have on hand.

Hey Tunch123. What speed do you recommend having the PC 7424 on for HDUNO to work the best. I've heard some say very slow and some same medium speed.

Depending on the condition of the paint you should use the speed on 5 or 6 with the orange pad ( polishing ) and finish up with the HD Poxy with the blue pad speed on 1 or 2.:buffing:

Here's my opinion after spending some significant time with HD UNO on my Ferrari:

Using the 7424XP, and the Unopad, put three dabs of UNO on the pad that has been lightly primed with HD Free. Coat a small (24X24 inch) section of the car running the XP on speed three. Then up to speed 6 and make two sets of passes at right angles to each other, then back down to speed 3 for one final pass. Then IMMEDIATELY buff off with a microfiber. Depending on the amount of correction needed in that section of vehicle, I used more or less pressure.

If you do not buff off immediately it seems to dry and be resistant to removal with microfiber. When it did become difficult to remove, I used HD Free to remove it.

This seemed to work best and be easiest.

Regards,

Pete

I am seriously considering a switch to this stuff after reading some of these posts!!! I have always used AM and Ardex products, but they seem to work better with a rotary... and they dont work very well with my PC. I have always thought that I was working way too hard to get the results I was looking for, and after seeing that it only takes a couple of passes to remove swirls and water spots... Im in!!! What are the chances of getting some free samples???

Hmm. Even with the Uno 2.0 I received, I still have issues to buff it off. Still not effortless as originally claimed, but it is getting better as time goes on. I would love to see how much 3.0 improves on this.
