HD UNO pad question

The HD Uno Pad is a cutting/polish pad while the HD Poxy Pad is a light polish/finishing pad.

The next Gen pads system which we will be showing on the 25th, will include a separate cut, polish, and finishing pad.

What will be the colors?

These are actually the final 3 foam colors:

The will come in flat and waffled (dimpled) and will be offered in atleast 3 sizes.

If the UNO pad is both cut and polish then is it the speed at which we run the DA polisher which determines whether it is cutting or polishing?

With the current HD Uno pad, yes. You can vary amount of cut based on speed. With the new 3 pad system, there will be a cutting(more aggressive than the current HD Uno pad) and polishing (less aggressive than the current HD Uno Pad) to more accurately get the result you want.

With these new cutting pad is it like lake county orange pad or more aggressive.

Maybe David or someone else can answer this who has tried them. I have only seen pics.

Do we have a release date yet? I do need to order pads and would love to pick some of these up

The only time I've used the new orange pad was to buff via rotary on just the rocker panels of one car. I didn't notice any real difference and they feel very similar to LC orange. I have yet to try the flat pads in any capacity, just waffle. I say the biggest difference is the backing/interface membrane technology this pad uses. It's quite interesting.

I guess I'll give my money to another supplier then.

Hi Zaxjax,

We will have all the new HD Pad system at the seminar available. (25th June,2011).

The will be:

1-Cut (orange)

2-Polish (Light Blue)

3-Finish (Red)

5.5" for PC and 7.5" Rotary.

We will have flat or waffle versions on both sizes.

I think so Barry. I was told several 1000 will be on hand for sale there. They might even have a pit filled with UNO pads for people to dive into. Bring your CC for sure.

David, :har:

Credit Cards? I use them when I get a little crazy and over buy. I prefer Cash, you should now that by now! I can't believe you would even insult me like that. :fish::fish:

Ill be ready for sure! :whistle1:

I have tons of LC pads, but which would be best for the UNO? I read in one thread that it doesn't like the CCS pads because they aren't completely "flat", but will UNO work better with the standard LC pads or their Hydro-Tech pads? In another thread, I think it was Autopia Expert who posted it, but it said a low-profile, closed cell, pre-polymer foam was ideal for the DA and that matches the Hydro-Tech pads perfectly. Does this sound correct? I just want to see if I can utilize a pad I already have instead of ordering more if possible. And if I order, I would like to wait until the new ones come out anyway!!
