If you have a microfiber cutting or polishing pad, use those. If not, an orange cut pad followed by a white polishing pad should be sufficient, depending on how serious the damage that you are correcting is. What do you have available?

optimum mf cutting and polishing pads, b&s pads and lc pads.all colors.the paint has rids and is oxidizied.was thinkin maybe a green lc pad

If you are wanting to start with the least aggressive pad that might work, that would be a good shot. I have a feeling you might be fulling out the MF cutting pad though. Follow up with the polishing pad, then finish with the foam if needed.

I old try a cuting pad and see how it finishes.

Here' a trick if you have 2 DAs:

Do the initial cutting with a cutting pad, then have another machine ready to go with a finishing pad primed with just a tiny bit of UNO on it to finish down with. Leave the residue on the surface in between steps.

I'm interested in your results, so please post pics. I have a sample of this and just picked up another bottle to use as a 1-step.

i did not bring a camera but i can tell you by the second panel after trying different speeds and arm movement i eventually spread out the product @600 rpm and went up to 1000 rpm for a few passes and then back to 600 rpm to slowly finish the panel.it seems like i spread out the buffing cycle but the polish seems to have quite a bit of lubricants to stretch it.i did it with a lc green 5.5 inch pad.i did squirt a tiny bit of m34 on the pad prior, but i could not believe how i got it to finish down.its alot like carpro fixer in which if you keep adjusting your procedure it will perform like a mofo. goin to try it next with a green b&s pad on a da real soon also.i also did a few wipe downs with ipa and fixer and it was good to go

Great to know that it worked out for you! People ask for application tips on products all the time, but I love it when they think outside of box and try to figure things out for themselves.

FYI, Autogeek have a BOGO on Carpro Fixer.Never tried it but sounds like UNOv3.

The original poster said he wanted to do a 1-step and everyone is recommending a compounding and then polishing step.

Do some not consider the polishing step a step?
