im looking to do some one step polishing with some hd speed that im about to order. what pad do you recomend, i think i want to try the boss brand but what pad.

I had some success with HD Speed and an orange Hexlogic pad. But, Im moving away from that line. Oh, and the orange pad helped get rid of some stuff the white Hexlogic couldnt.

What are your pads of choice? Ive been glued onto CG Hexlogic and knockoffs of the "Hexlogic".

I also have HD speed in which Im going to give a try to one step a never before polished 2011 Chevy Camaro 2SS.

chemical dudes pads?

Yup. Thats what I learned on. And Ive been happy with them, but sometime back, I saw their price went up a good chunk, so I decided when it was time for new ones, Id look elsewhere. (That time has finally come)

I dont have a pad choice, yet. Im not as experienced as several others on here, and youll see others have their preferences. If youre really glued to the CGs, I think Buff N Shine makes them, and Buff N Shine has some flat foams that are a good price on Autopia.

My last order on ACC, I ordered some Lake Country HydroTechs to try out. But Ill be looking at their flat foam pads soon enough. For me, at this point, cost factor is a consideration.

Here is a simple spreadsheet I was putting together to help with my decision. Oh, and I do have a set of Meguiars newer thin foam pads that Ill be trying out sometime in summer.

let me know how you like them, im going to try the speed with a orange hex pad. see how it works for me. my tool is a torq 22d.

Ive had good luck with it using the tangerine hydroshred pads. Pretty versatile AIO....I think it works well using anything from light to medium polishing pad depending on what youre working on

Will do.

just ordered my hd speed. ill try to review my thoughts as a noob!

Ill try and find the pics of the time I used the orange pad and Speed combo

doesnt speed have some compound, polish and sealant?

I was told it has a bit of Cut in it. Small amount. Along with Polish and Poxy.

yea i just saw a post where some guy added some hd cut or something and he said it worked wonders. they say not to do the mixing thing though.

I did a 2015 Jeep with HD Speed and white LC variable contact pad and a rotary buffer. Came out really nice.

I have used the orange and white LC pads. They worked great and Speed is a great AIO.
I did pick up some BnS pads which HD recommends to use there products with but I have not had a chance to try them yet.
