HD Polish…… More than just a finishing polish.

HD Polish is fast becoming a favorite amongst detailers, and it is really no surprise.

Let’s face it HD Polish is so easy to work with and IMO the end result is second to none.

However for those of you that has not experimented with its ability let me show you that it is more than just for finishing.

Please excuse the picture quality, photos taken via my phone on spur of the moment.

Typical wash marring and dealer holograms

After a single pass using only HD Polish on a finishing pad

Residual removed; Is it perfect, no however it is close and certainly demonstrates that HD Polish does have some decent correction ability.

So for those that have HD Polish already I encourage you to try it with different pads and experience just some of what this product is truly capable of doing.

And for those that haven’t already made HD Polish part of the detailing arsenal…… What are you waiting for?

Cheers Daniel

That's impressive and no oils left behind to hide residual marring!!!!! Thanks for posting this info. Was the paint a hard or soft clear coat??

You always tell me that your always in your garage messing around with products, but I never actually saw anything... Its good to know that you do find time to experiment. HD Polish is definitely good stuff!

Thanks for posting and sharing, buddy.

I agree, the first time I used HD Polish I did a Gran Marquis that had medium - heavy swirls and achieved 100% correction and a perfect finish with one pass with an orange HF pad, though this wasn't my goal going into it, was just a quick one-step. Love the stuff.

nice, thanks for taking the time to post and share (w/ pics) your experience! it looks like this product is quickly becoming a staple with many... :waxing: :) :up

I wonder if this polish could be used for wetsanding? As in, say with 2k grit. Then using different pad combos with this one polish?

Is this water based?

Wow, heavy swirls with one pass, 100% correction and a perfect finish. What else can one ask for in a polish.

Huh, the clear on those is only "medium" (not like, say... typical GM or Audi) but that's still saying something.

I do suspect there can be diffs in how people view "medium-heavy swirls" though (e.g., I consider Uno moderately effective for that type of correction on that paint, often reaching for M105 instead to speed things along).

Yeah, the harness def has something to do with how well a product will do on it. I don't think it would have removed heavy swirls from Audi clear with one pass, or even multiple passes. I say medium - heavy swirls because when I saw them in the sun, the surface was VERY densely covered with them. Light swirls to me would be some swirls with alot of good looking paint "in between". This being different than shallow vs deep swirls or scratches. From experience with these cars, I don't think 205 would have removed the swirls the Polish did with one pass even with the oils covering them up, so I was very impressed with the performance of the Polish.

EDIT: I was also using a good amount of pressure, more like the KB method, so that may have also had something to do with it.

Ah, gotcha, that explains it perfectly! Thanks for taking the time to clarify it for me.

Oh man...I just know I'm gonna have to get a bottle of this stuff.
