HD extreme?

HD Polish might be a stretch as the go to follow up unless HD UNO is updated to where there might not be a need to use it in certain scenarios.....:tape: LOL

Well it may be a stretch butt think long and hard about it. I think there need to be a 1-2 combo using HD Polish. I have never used UNO but have heard many varying opinions and thought on it.

HD "%@$%&" is a straight up hardcore compound. It's intension is eat though defects by leveling paint. It's HD's answer to what you would consider Rocks in a Bottle, but in the Autopian way. It is not for the faint at heart or the beginner. It's not anything like HD UNO either. It will not leave a final finish and will hands down need a follow up step after using it.

Nice! Especially to see a hardcore leveling compound being not rotary-only a part of its design intent. Or at least that's my assumption, based on what you've said about your rotary use (or lack thereof). I can't really think of another super aggressive compound currently on the market that was developed with DA use in mind, in fact.

The post correction finish this product will leave will be paint dependent of course. I'd imagine that on something soft it will definately need a mid range polish (like UNO) to fine tune the marring. The last thing I'd want is to say you only need to go straight to HD Polish and it not perform as expected. We're not concerned so much about the marring this product leaves...It's all about the cut!

It's definately going to be a DA focused product, but will also be 100% rotary-able.

Would be awesome to test this product that's for sure!

Thanks for the offer Paul.

I'm looking forward to this. I get great cut out of UNO and the HD lambswool pads, can't imagine something from HD along the lines of 105...

I have a gallon of UNOv3 which finishes out beautifully on all finishes. All I need is something like.....hmmm.....HD Extreme as a first step.

I'm willing to test it to see if it works as well in the Southern Hemisphere.:grinno:

Hahahaha David, that last part made me laugh out effing loud!

I'm thinking, time for a Michigan meet-up!

I would love to do something. I'm nominating Charles as the Event Coordinator. And maybe by then this product will be ready....

How about the Detroit Auto Show coming up in January? I am looking into planning a trip up this year.... It's only 4hrs +/- from me.

That's what some of us did last year; I'd be game to do it again. :2thumbs:

If we want to do something more like a Michigan DetailFest catering specifically to tech demos/etc. as well/instead it would take a bit more planning, but it's still doable. Lansing is centrally located enough, I'm sure I can find a facility here to host something.

Don't think it's wise to hijack the subject of this thread though. Even though I'm the one who started it. Fahgetaboutit.

He wanted to see what car I was working on. Tunch is gonna kick my butt for this one.
