I would like to say Hi to all as this is my first post . :wait.

Has anyone tried Carnuba Black wax from Top of the line. how does it compare to other high quality waxes ie; Pinnacle souvaran, PS21, PB natty's, griots

It's on my order list.....just came out a few weeks ago, but I talked to Irene from TOL and she says it is awesome.

Mine should be here today. I have all the wax's I mentioned above and I am undecided on the one to use on my black durango .

I got some about a month ago and use it on my Dad's Mountaineer. The stuff is great. It even hides swirls. Very easy on/off, no haze. I'm amazed of the clarity of the paint after using something that's black. Durability is great, I just rewaxed it yesterday and after a month it was still beading. I'd like to try some over NXT which I was using on it to see just how many swirls they hide working together.

I have so much stuff to use now, I can't imagine adding more. But, one of these days, I'll probably end up with some.

I will try it today as the first coat of was on my black truck to see if it hides a couple scratches I was not able to buff out, then I will put 2 coats of Souvaran on top.

ChicagoVTX-

You'll need to hold off on layering that if your intending to do it in one day; it's carnauba, and if you "apply" more than one layer in a day, your essentially taking the previous layer off.

thanks I just posted this same question, how long between layers?

liquid carnaubas typically take 5-7 days to cure, pastes, I'm not quite sure, but I would probably lean more towards 5.

5 Days :( . can the car be driven? will it need to be washed again?

To be safe, I would wash again as to not promote scratching and such.....that's where Poorboy's Spray and Wipe comes into play :)

Well after seeing the Black wax next to pinnacle Sauvaran and Zymol concourse, the Black wax appeared dull with no depth compared to the other 2. I could not tell a differance between PS and Zymol. for the money I like PS21,Griots paste over the TOL Black wax

Chicago, I had a felling that would be the case. I once used years ago this "As seen on TV" black wax, maybe it was Color Coat 2000 I believe. It was the absolute hardest stuff to remove, but had a ton of fillers into it, and yes, it too was dull. I just got my Black Wax Paste in today. my plan after using a sealant is to throw this down first, wait 5 days, then put Trade Secret on top. I think this might put the shine back into the finish.

I tried it and I was not happy its low in carnuba and does not shine real well.I am a sucker when it comes to all these new products out there.

During our Poorboy's Worls Detail day, I put Souveran on one panel of my red SC430 and Natty's on another.

Side by side we had people guess, and even at a 50/50 guess, several were wrong. It was hard to tell which was which.

Bottom line... save your $$$ and pick-up Natty's! No more Souveran for me unless they drop it to Natty's price:lmfao

Regards,
Deanski
