Have You Tried The CBT?

Has anyone had any marring issues with the 2004 version of the Concours Buffing Towel? I bought three CBTs a month ago, and even after washing the towels a couple of times, multiple rinse cycles and a vinegar soak, these towels are by far the least soft microfiber towels I have.

Definately my fav rag too!

I have 2 of the older grey/brown versions and a few of the newer Sonus orange buff rags.

I usually use my normal MF's for QEW, S&W, and WW's for drying and only use the CBT for wax removal, I don't even use it for polish removal! I have other rags for that, I save the finest, softest rags for the final products!

Definatly worth a try if you don't already have one!

Was it a bad batch? I assume you rub CDs much harder than you ever would paint, but still that's kind of odd.

My CBTs and DFTowels are very soft though, but haven't tested for marring.

I have two sizes of the Alpine white. They are napped much more like a high end bath towel with a fiber that is very silky and shiny. It needed two washes before I would use it on anything. They will snag on badges. I use them for QD'ing, second wipe pass for S&W and final hand buff after LSP or wax. My favorite use is to buff S&G. They are expensive and, frankly, I find myself having to create uses for them rather than feel this is the only towel in the arsenal for a specific job. I do, however, also own the the cord sock for the PC in the Alpine white and that item I am totally pleased with.
